The volume of cars exported from Uzbekistan from January through October 2020 in physical terms amounted to 13,310 units, while in value terms this figure accounted for $127.2 million, Trend reports referring to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
The committee reports that car exports in Uzbekistan increased by $50.9 million, or 66.8 percent, compared to the same period in 2019.
Uzbekistan exported 11,048 vehicles to Kazakhstan worth $109.8 million.
The volume of car exports to Ukraine amounted to $6.4 million, to Azerbaijan - $6.2 million, to Russia - $2.2 million, to Tajikistan - $1.2 million, and to other countries - $1.4 million.
At the same time, the volume of cars imported to Uzbekistan for the reported period amounted to 22,228 units. The total value of imported cars amounted to $392.8 million.
In addition, Uzbekistan imported 87 electric vehicles over the past ten months, which is 58 units more compared to the same period in 2019. Five cars were imported in October.
Some 54 electric vehicles were imported from China, 12 electric vehicles from South Korea, and seven electric vehicles from Georgia. And 14 electric vehicles were brought from Germany, the US, the UAE, Russia, and the Czech Republic.
The total volume of imported electric vehicles to Uzbekistan this year accounts for $2.2 million.
