Iranian Customs Administration Spokesman Seyed Rouhollah Latifi announced that "Lotfabad" trade border with Turkmenistan in Khorasan Razavi Province will be re-opened in a limited way, following a 9-month closure, Trend reports citing Official Website of the Customs Administration.

“The transshipment of goods via "Lotfabad" in Khorasan Razavi Province, which was closed access by trucks by Turkmenistan due to COVID-19, will open on Dec. 1," he said.

"Currently, the exchange of goods with Turkmenistan is happening via railway through two borders of "Sarakhs" of Khorasan Razavi and "Incheh Borun" of Golestan Province,” he said.

Latifi went on to say that a sea route from the port of "Amirabad" in Mazandaran Province has been launched in the past few days, so that the country's trade to Central Asia and Russia will not be stopped.
