Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Davron Dehkanov suggested that taking into account the strategic position and efficiency of the Chabahar port, a joint working group should be created with the participation of representatives of the Transport Development Committee of Uzbekistan and the Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization for researching plans for Uzbekistan's participation in the port. Thus, this working group should prepare a road map.

Also, the Deputy Chairman of PMO Khosrow Saraei said that as many as 72 container ships, 20 general cargo ships, 3 ships carrying farm animals, and 1 freight ship have docked at the Chabahar port over the past 22 months. These figures show a significant increase in port operations of Chabahar port.
