High-tonnage ship docked at Iran’s Shahid Bahonar port for the first time

A 40,000-ton ship docked at the Shahid Bahonar port in the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) for the first time, Director of Sahid Bahonar Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO), Hamidreza Mohammad Hosseini said, Trend reports citing of PMO.

According to the Mohammad Hosseini, so far, 35,000-ton ships have been docked in the port.

The director added that the numerous plans have been implemented in the Shahid Bahonar port to dock of high-tonnage ships.

“As a result of technical operations, the products were loaded on a 40,000-ton ship in less than 8 days,” he said.

There are 12 platforms in the Iran’s Shahid Bahonar port. The port can receive general cargo, RoRo, passenger ships, oil tankers and small ships.
