Turkmenistan’s Turkmenawtoulaglary agency (Turkmen road transport) exceeded the plan for cargo transportation by 4.5 percent, for cargo turnover - by 3.1 percent for 2020, said Chairman of the agency Guvanchmyrat Akmammedov, Trend reports with reference to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
Akmammedov said that at a working meeting on the development of the transport and communication sector, held by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
For 2020, the plan for passenger transportation was exceeded by 0.1 percent, and for passenger turnover - by 1 percent.
The Complex of Motor Transport Enterprises and the Training Center of the association of automobile schools, built along the Ashgabat-Dashoguz highway, were opened and put into operation.
The complex of enterprises includes the Ashgabat Passenger Motor Transport Enterprise, the Association of Driving Schools and such companies as: Awtomobil ulag hyzmaty, Awtoulag kärhanalar birleşigi.
Work is being carried out to improve the quality of road transport services, strengthen the material and technical base of the agency's enterprises, the report said.
As reported, from January through November 2020, the production plan for the transport and communication complex of Turkmenistan was exceeded by 19.4 percent.
Thus, the growth rate of Turkmenawtoulaglary increased by 2 percent from January through November 2020.
