Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan increase flights number

Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan will increase the number of flights between Tashkent and Nur-Sultan from one to two flights per week from February 15, 2021, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan.

According to the ministry, Uzbekistan Airways will operate flights on Tashkent - Nur-Sultan - Tashkent route on Tuesdays and Fridays.

In addition, the Kazakh airline Air Astana will operate flights in this direction.

Recently, Uzbekistan and Egypt have agreed to increase the number of regular flights from Cairo and Sharm El-Sheikh to Tashkent and Samarkand.

Furthermore, Iran's Aseman Airlines announced its intention to establish charter flights on the Tehran – Tashkent and Tehran - Bukhara routes. According to the airline's plans, flights will begin in March this year. It was noted that later regular flights will also be opened.

Earlier it was reported that the special republican commission made a decision according to which international flights to the UK, Italy, Denmark, Austria, Australia, the Netherlands and South Africa are suspended until March 1 of this year in order to prevent the further spread of COVID-19 infection.
