Kazakhstan’s revenue from the transportation of cargo, luggage and cargo luggage via road transport amounted to 25.4 billion tenge ($60.3 million) from January through February 2021, which is 2 percent less than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
Revenue from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via road transport in Feb. 2021 amounted to 12.6 billion tenge ($30.1 million), which is 5.6 percent less than during the same period of 2020.
The volume of cargo, luggage and cargo luggage transported via road transport during the reporting period amounted to 440.4 million tons, which is 4.8 percent less compared to the same period of last year (214.5 million tons in Feb. 2021, down by 3.5 percent year-on-year).
Cargo turnover amounted to 21.7 billion ton-kilometers which is 5.6 percent less than during the same period of last year (10.7 billion in Feb. 2021, an increase of 0.9 percent).
In turn, Kazakhstan’s revenue from passenger transportation amounted to 12.7 billion tenge ($30.2 million) over the reporting period of 2021, which is 22.1 percent less than during the same period of last year. February’s revenue from passenger transportation was 6.7 billion tenge ($15.9 million), which is 18.3 percent less than in Feb. 2020.
The number of transported passengers amounted to 793.6 million people, which is 78.4 percent less than during the same period of last year (411.9 million passengers in Feb. 2021, down by 77.4 percent).
The passenger turnover amounted to 8.8 billion passenger-kilometers which compared to the same period of last year is a decrease of 78 percent. The passenger turnover in Feb. was 4.5 billion (76.2 percent decrease year-on-year).
