Iran’s PMO shares data on cargo movement in Chavibdeh, Arvandkenar ports

A total of 1,620 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Chavibdeh and Arvandkenar ports of the Khuzestan Province (southwestern Iran) in the 1st month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2021), Trend reports citing the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 1,270 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Chavibdeh port in the first month. Of this, 274 tons were loaded and 1,000 tons were unloaded.

During the mentioned month, 274 tons of cargo were exported through this port, and 1,000 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for other purposes, the statistics said.

Some 274 tons of essential products, 1,000 tons of small and assorted products were loaded and unloaded in the Chavibdeh port in the first month. In addition, 347 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Arvandkenar port within the 1st month. Of this, 169 tons were loaded and 178 tons were unloaded, according to the statistics.

About 169 tons of cargo were exported through this port, as well as, 178 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for other purposes, the statistics said.

“Thus, 169 tons of essential products and 178 tons of small and assorted products were loaded and unloaded in the Arvadkenarport in the 1st month of the current Iranian year,” the statistics said.

As reported, more than 11 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the first month of the current Iranian year. This is an increase of 14.4 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
