The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Shahid Rajaee port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) increased by 0.4 percent in the 4th month of the current Iranian year (June 22 through July 22, 2021), compared to the 3rd month of the current Iranian year (May 22 through June 21, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
According to the statistics, about 6.05 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Shahid Rajaee port in the fourth month. Of this, about 3.39 million tons were loaded and 2.66 million tons were unloaded.
In addition, 2.97 million tons of cargo were exported and 888,000 tons were imported through the Shahid Rajaee port over the reporting month.
Also, 192,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 194,000 tons were unloaded in the port for transit in the 4th month, the statistics said.
According to the statistics, 158,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 1.44 million tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage during the fourth month.
In the 4th month, 65,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 98,000 tons were unloaded in this port for transshipment.
At the same time, 3,250 tons of cargo were loaded, and 34,000 tons were unloaded in the port for other purposes.
So, about 349,000 tons of essential products, 809,000 tons of metal products, 793,000 tons of construction and mining materials, 6,170 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Shahid Rajaee port in the 4th month of the current Iranian year.
Moreover, 117,000 tons of chemicals, 944 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 10,900 tons of small and assorted products, 1.36 million tons of container products, 2.6 million tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned month.
As reported, about 12.5 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the fourth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.99 million tons were loaded and 5.5 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 20.8 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
