Iran cargo transportation from East Azerbaijan Province has reached 14 million tons in the first nine months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2021), said the Director-General of East Azerbaijan Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization, Trend reports citing IRNA.
Goods have been transported by 500 transportation companies while 33,000 vehicles have transported passengers in this period, Oroujali Alizadeh noted.
One million tons of livestock inputs and essential goods have been transported by East Azerbaijan's drivers from the South of the country, he indicated.
Terminals in the East Azerbaijan border are an important capacity to transport goods and passengers to regional countries.
