Iran’s PMO sees decrease in port operations at Charak port

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Charak port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) decreased by 3.8 percent in the 9th month of the current Iranian year (November 23 through December 21, 2021), compared to the 8th month (October 23 through November 21, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 98,700 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port over the ninth month. Of this, 85,600 tons were loaded, and 13,100 tons were unloaded.

About 26,000 tons of cargo were exported through the Charak port during the reporting month.

According to the statistics, about 59,500 tons of cargo were loaded and 13,100 tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage within the ninth month.

So, 10,600 tons of essential products, 930 tons of metal products, 65,800 tons of construction and mining materials, 2,800 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts, 179 tons of chemicals, 281 tons of leather, clothing, paper and wood materials, 16,900 tons of small and assorted goods, and 1,170 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in Charak port in the 9th month of the current Iranian year.

About 11.9 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the ninth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.28 million tons were loaded and 5.64 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 8.8 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
