The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Bandar Lengeh port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) decreased by about 11.8 percent in the 10th month of the current Iranian year (December 22, 2021, through January 20, 2022), compared to the 9th month (November 22 through December 21, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
According to the statistics, about 121,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port in the 10th month. So, 98,700 tons of cargo were loaded and 22,500 tons were unloaded.
About 98,200 tons of cargo were exported and 4,130 tons were imported through the Bandar Lengeh port over the 10th month.
"Furthermore, 18,300 tons of cargo were unloaded in this port for transit. Also, 533 tons of cargo were loaded and 27 tons were unloaded for cabotage during the reporting month," the statistics said.
As well as, 80 tons of cargo were unloaded in this port for other purposes.
In general, 59,700 tons of essential products, 7 tons of metal products, 38,200 tons of construction and mining materials, 19,300 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts and 1,780 tons of chemicals were loaded and unloaded in the Bandar Lengeh port in the 10th month of the current Iranian year.
Moreover, 123 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 51 tons of small and assorted products and 1,960 tons of crude oil and related products were loaded and unloaded in the port within the mentioned month.
About 17.9 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 10th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 11.9 million tons were loaded and 6.03 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 42 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
