Cargo movements in Iran’s Chabahar port up

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Chabahar port of the Sistan and Baluchestan Province (south-eastern Iran) increased by 62 percent in the 10th month of the current Iranian year (December 22, 2021, through January 20, 2022), compared to the 9th month (November 22 through December 21, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 455,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Chabahar port in the 10th month. Of this, 76,600 tons were loaded and 378,000 tons were unloaded.

Also, 75,700 tons of cargo were exported and 230,000 tons were imported through the Chabahar port over the reporting month.

Furthermore, 594 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for transit in the 10th month.

According to the statistics, 147,000 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for cabotage, as well as 900 tons were loaded for other purposes during the 10th month.

About 212,000 tons of essential products, 3 tons of metal products, 75,700 tons of construction and mining materials, 4,250 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Chabahar port in the 10th month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 29 tons of chemicals, 461 tons of leather products, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 69 tons of small and assorted products, 16,000 tons of container products and about 147,000 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned month.

About 17.9 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 10th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 11.9 million tons were loaded and 6.03 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 42 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
