BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 21. The total profit of TRACECA (Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia) organization from cargo and passenger transportation via the corridor's Azerbaijani section in 2021 slightly decreased, the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan told Trend.
According to the committee, this figure amounted to 573.7 million manat ($337.4 million), down by five million manat ($2.94 million) or 0.9 percent on annual basis.
Last year, the profit from the transportation of goods via the Azerbaijani section amounted to 539.8 million manat ($317.5 million), and passengers - 33.9 million manat ($19.9 million), thus increasing by 45.5 and 48.4 percent compared to 2020, respectively.
Meanwhile, the volume of cargo transportation through the Azerbaijani section exceeded 39.6 million tons, and 22.3 percent of these cargoes fell in transit.
