TEHRAN, Iran, May 10. Iran's SADRA Shipbuilding Company has built the second Aframax ship for a foreign company, and three more are expected to be built, said Managing Director of SADRA Shipbuilding Company Ali Zarei, Trend reports citing Fars News Agency.
"Building of the second Aframax oil tanker started in 2018, and after two years, the ship is ready for tests. The vessel is estimated to be delivered to the employer next month," he said.
The construction of the third Aframax ship will immediately begin. SADRA Shipbuilding Company plans to deliver it in less than two years.
The 250 meters long and 44 meters wide vessel can carry 750,000 barrels of oil at 15 knots speed.
