BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 13. Transportation of goods between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan amounted to 569,200 tons from January through March 2022, an increase of 236 percent compared to the same period in 2021, NC Kazakhstan temir zholy JSC (Kazakh Railways) told Trend.
Kazakh Railways noted that the export of Kazakh cargo to and through Azerbaijan increased by 5.9 times due to the growth of volume of grain and oil products transportation.
Imports to Kazakhstan from and through Azerbaijan increased 3 times due to the transportation of chemicals.
"Transit traffic across Kazakhstan in directions to and from Azerbaijan increased by 13 percent due to the growth in transportation of food cargo," said the company.
