BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 19. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Charak port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) decreased by 1.24 percent in the 2nd month of the current Iranian year (April 21 through May 21, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 109,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port over the 2nd month. Of this amount, 89,300 tons were loaded, and 19,300 tons were unloaded.

In addition, 25,300 tons of cargo were exported through the Charak port during the reporting month.

At the same time, more than 63,900 tons of cargo were loaded and 19,300 tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage within the 2nd month.

About, 11,400 tons of essential products, 71,800 tons of construction and mining materials, 2,000 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts, 125 tons of chemicals, 22,200 tons of small and assorted goods, and 970 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in Charak port in the 2nd month of the current Iranian year.

In general, more than 12.6 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 2nd month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.47 million tons were loaded and 7.12 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 17.5 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
