BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 19. Kazakhstan’s revenue from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via air transport amounted to 4.8 billion tenge ($10.2 million) from January through June 2022, which is 56.4 percent less than during the same period of 2021, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
Revenue from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via air transport in June 2022 amounted to 1.1 billion tenge ($2.4 million), which is 17 percent less than during the same month of 2021.
The volume of cargo, luggage and cargo luggage transported via air transport during the reporting period amounted to 10,380 tons, which is 37.9 percent less compared to the same period of last year.
Cargo turnover amounted to 22.8 million ton-kilometers which is 35.3 percent less than during the same period of last year.
In turn, Kazakhstan’s revenue from passenger transportation amounted to 206.1 billion tenge ($431.3 million) from January through June 2022, which is 20.4 percent more than during the same period of last year. June revenue from passenger transportation was 48.5 billion tenge ($101.5 million), which is 20.6 percent more than in June 2021.
The number of transported passengers amounted to 4.6 million people, which is 10.5 percent more than during the same period of last year (1.07 million passengers in June 2022, up by 20.9 percent).
The passenger turnover amounted to 7.9 billion passenger-kilometers which compared to the same period of last year is an increase of 26.3 percent. The June passenger turnover was 2.09 billion (48.1 percent more year-on-year).
