BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 30. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Charak port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) increased by approximately 8 percent in the 7th month of the current Iranian year (September 23 through October 22, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, 103,697 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port over the 7th month. Of this amount, 92,560 tons were loaded, and 11,137 tons were unloaded.

In addition, 38,602 tons of cargo were exported through the Charak port during the reporting month.

At the same time, 53,598 tons of cargo were loaded and 11,137 tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage within the 7th month.

Some 9,801 tons of essential products, 833 tons of metal products, 74,831 tons of construction and mining materials, 2,027 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts, 239 tons of chemicals, 270 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 14,736 tons of small and assorted goods, and 960 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in Charak port in the 7th month of the current Iranian year.

In general, about 11.6 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 7th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.66 million tons were loaded and 5.94 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 6 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
