BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 31. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Jask port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran), decreased by 25.4 percent in the 9th month of the current Iranian year (November 22 through December 21, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, 14,100 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port in the 9th month. Of this, 10,300 tons were loaded and 3,810 tons were unloaded.

About 10,200 tons of cargo were exported and 2,670 tons were imported through the Jask port over the 9th month.

In addition,120 tons of cargo were loaded and 1,140 tons were unloaded in the port for other purposes within the mentioned month.

“Some 10,200 tons of essential products, 200 tons of small and assorted goods and 3,730 tons of container products were loaded and unloaded in the Jask port in the 9th month of the current Iranian year,” the statistics said.

In general, approximately 12 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 9th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.6 million tons were loaded and 5.4 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 8.1 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
