New Ministers of Energy and Finance of Georgia have assumed the office today. Georgian Prime Minister Vano Merabishvili introduced Vakhtang Balavadze and Alexander Khetaguri appointed to these positions and gave them new instructions.
According to the latest personnel changes in the government, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alexander Khetaguri was appointed Finance Minister, and his place was taken by MP Vakhtang Balavadze.
Merabishvili noted that Khetaguri was a successful minister of energy and did his best to solve the problem of energy supply in the country. According to him, Khetaguri and Nika Gilauri have done the impossible. Now, he said, there are no problems with electricity supply, in particular, the country receives gas at relatively low rates.
"We must every family to feel the achievements in the field of energy," the prime minister said.
