Some 4.16 billion cubic meters of gas was used to generate electricity in Azerbaijan in January-September, the State Statistics Committee told Trend.
Some 96.8 thousand tons of fuel oil and 2.2 tons of diesel fuel were used for the electricity production.
The economic entities consumed 13.5 billion / kilowatt hours of electricity in January-September, the state committee said.
Azerbaijan produced 16.74 billion kilowatt / hours of electricity in January-October, which is 9.6 percent more compared to the same period of 2011.
In 2011, the country produced more than 20 billion kilowatt / hours of electricity, which is 8.4 percent more than in 2010.
