Electricity generation and consumption ups in Turkey

Electricity generation decreased by 3.1 percent in Turkey in November 2012 compared to the same month in 2011 and amounted to 18.5 billion kilowatt / hour, Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) says in a report on its official website on Wednesday.

Electricity generation decreased by 3.1 percent in Turkey in November 2012 compared to the same month in 2011 and amounted to 18.5 billion kilowatt / hour, Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) says in a report on its official website on Wednesday.

Electricity generation in Turkey increased by 5 percent in the period from January to November 2012 compared to the same period of 2011 and amounted to 218.6 billion kilowatt / hour.

Electricity consumption in November 2012 decreased by 0.3 percent compared to November 2011, and hit 19.9 billion kilowatt / hour. The electricity consumption increased by 5.6 percent in January - November compared to the same period of 2011 and amounted to 220.9 billion kilowatt / hour.

Electricity imports into Turkey for eleven months amounted to 5.8 billion kilowatt / hour.
