Uzbekistan sees rise on industrial production

The industrial production in Uzbekistan amounted to 99.060 trillion soums in January-September 2017, while the growth rate was 5.6 percent compared to the same period of 2016, reads the quarterly report of the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

In turn, modernization, technical and technological re-equipment of production, also contributed to the growth of labor productivity by 3.9 percent compared to January-September of the previous year.

The largest share in the structure of industrial production accounts for the manufacturing industry, whose share is 79 percent (growth rate is 5.1 percent compared to the same period of 2016).

The share of mining and quarrying amounted to 11.7 percent (a growth of 8.4 percent), electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning-8.6 percent (7.2 percent), water supply, sewerage, waste disposal0.7 percent (9 , 9 percent).

The volume of small business in the industrial production increased by 0.4 percent compared to January-September 2016.

While in industry as a whole the share of small business was 41.2 percent, in the manufacturing industry -51.0 percent.

The development of the industrial production was supported by the implementation of the Program for localization of the production of finished products, components and materials, within the framework of which in January-September 2017 production amounted to 5.8 trillion soums, while the export hit $350.9 million.
