Turkmenistan participates in Regional USAID Program on Logistics

Turkmenistan participates in a regional seminar, which is being held in Almaty for specialists of multimodal logistics centers and is organized by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Trend reports referring to the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET).

The event is conducted with the support from the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport of the UK (CILT).

Representatives of UIET, the Turkmen Logistics Association, and the Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan JSC participate in the event alongside with representatives of other Central Asian countries.

During the seminar, participants gain knowledge on key aspects of transport and logistics, which will give the opportunity to apply it in practice and, in general, develop the logistics potential in the region.

The training course is conducted as part of the initiative implemented by CILT within the USAID project on competitiveness, trade and job creation in Central Asia. The project, which will be implemented in five years, aims to support the growth of exports and employment in the fruit and vegetable sector, the development of tourism and the expansion of transport and logistics services in the countries of the region.

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport founded in 1919 has more than 35,000 members in 35 countries.
