Kazakhstan, Almaty, 31 July / corr. Trend R.Meshadihasanli / The State program is being developed to regulate interior migration in Kazakhstan in 2009-2015, Berdibek Saparbayev, the Kazakh Labor and Social Protection Minister, said at the meeting of the government.
"Its objective is to regulate interior migration, voluntary rational settlement of ethnic Kazakhs, who return to motherland, as well as, countrymen, who left Kazakhstan during the transition period, resettlement of Kazakhs from depressed and labor-abundant regions of the country with the interest of demographic, as well as, socio-economic development," Saparbayev said.
According to the minister, although at present interior migration is stabilized in the level of 300,000 people a year, it continues to be of elemental character.
