Kazakh, Kyrgyz diplomats mull issues of strengthening bilateral relations

In Bishkek, the Kazakh and Kyrgyz Foreign Ministers held consultations on issues of strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation under the OSCE, the Foreign Ministry's Spokesman, Ilyas Omarov told Trend .

"The talks focused on the issues concerning the development of the bilateral Kazakh-Kyrgyz cooperation and prospects for regional integration. The diplomats were satisfied with the dynamic development of political and economic relations between the countries and they noted the need to implement the agreements reached on the basis of high level visits," said Omarov.

He said the sides paid special attention to the current state and prospects of the parties' cooperation under the OSCE. In particular, the Kazakh side informed about the preparations for the chairmanship of the OSCE in 2010.

"The Kyrgyz diplomats noted that they would provide all possible assistance and support during Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the OSCE," noted Omarov.
