Four T-72 tanks burned up in a fire at a military base in the Dzhambul region in southern Kazakhstan (the station of Lugovaya). Eight boxes for equipment were damaged in ammunition explosions. The fire occurred on Friday evening, Itar-Tass reported.
Three hundred people were evacuated from the site. Nobody was hurt, the Kazakh Emergencies Ministry said.
