Three electoral campaigns are to be held in 2012 in Kazakhstan including Presidential elections, KAZINFORM reported.

Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan Kuandyk Turgankulov said it at the meeting with delegation of Social Democratic Party Members of the European Parliament.

'We will have to hold three important electoral campaigns in 2012. These are elections of deputies of the Majilis and maslikhats and the Presidential elections', K. Turgankulov noted. According to him there no any obstacles to accomplish it, the time of all campaigns are set for different time. Besides, he said that Kazakhstan already was in such a situation. In particular, the Presidential elections and elections of the deputies of the Parliament were held in 1999.

'Thus, in accordance with the Constitution we will have to hold the elections of the deputies of the Majilis and maslikhats in the first half of 2012 and the Presidential elections are planned on the first Sunday of December', Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan added.
