Karim Masimov has been reappointed as the Kazakh Prime Minister today.
After the 15-minute discussion, the candidacy of Masimov has been approved by MPs unanimously.

Earlier on Friday, the re-elected President Nazarbayev nominated the candidacy of Masimov, who has been heading the Kazakh government since 2007, for parliamentary approval.

"I am very honored to hold this position with you on the same day," Masimov told Nazarbayev. I am still your assistant and your student. I will prove once again by my work that I have the right to your confidence. I will ot fail."

On Friday morning, the government headed by Masimov resigned after the inauguration of President Nazarbayev, who was re-elected to the snap elections last Sunday.

According to the Kazakh law, the Cabinet of Ministers headed by Prime Minister and the heads of the regions resign immediately after the inauguration of the president.
