Over 5,000 corruption crimes revealed in Kazakhstan in 2011

Chairman of the Agency on Combating Economic Crimes and Corruption Kairat Kozhamzharov informed Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev about the activity of agency in the fight against corruption, the press-service of the Ak Orda said.

Chairman of the Agency on Combating Economic Crimes and Corruption Kairat Kozhamzharov informed Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev about the activity of agency in the fight against corruption, the press-service of the Ak Orda said.

"Kozhamzharov informed about a number of criminal cases controlled by the president," a statement said.

More than 5,500 corruption and economic crimes were revealed. About 5,000 criminal cases were submitted to the court.
