Kazakhstan attaches immense importance to the study of the advanced experience of U.S. companies and state departments in defense, Kazakh Defense Minister Adilbek Jaksibekov said during a meeting with U.S. Ambassador to Kazakhstan Kenneth Fairfax.

"Today, one of the priorities is the development of defense and the industrial complex in Kazakhstan. In this context, particular attention is paid to military and technical cooperation with foreign partners, including NATO member states," Jaksibekov said.

Military cooperation between Kazakhstan and the United States is carried out under a five-year plan. It expires in late 2012.
