Regular congress of the National Democratic Party "Nur Otan" that is headed by the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev began its work on Friday at the Independence Palace in Astana.
As it was previously announced, the Congress will decide on the preparation for early parliamentary elections.
Kazakhstan president and the leader of the party Nursultan Nazarbayev is expected to address the congress.
At the last parliamentary elections in 2007 "Nur Otan" won all the seats in the lower house, as it was only party to overcome the 7 percent barrier.
