The Kazakh Central Election Commission (CEC) cancelled the registration of Rukhaniyat Party's list. The party will not participate in forthcoming parliamentary elections on Jan.15, CEC reported on Wednesday.

According to the results of the measures taken by the Kazakh Prosecutor General's office, the Central Election Commission orders to cancel the registration of Rukhaniyat Party's list and remove the party's name from ballots, the CEC's statement said.

The inspection was conducted on the basis of request made by Altyntash Jaganova, a founder and former leader of Rukhaniyat Party, who claimed illegal nomination of the party's candidates for MPs referring to the fact that she has the party's seal and documentation.

After these statements Jaganova was excluded from the party for slandering the party's leadership.
