Aluash Ungarova gave false information to the media.

At present, the issue of bringing Aluash Ungarova to the administrative responsibility is being resolved, the Kazakh Prosecution General's office said today.

"We interviewed Aluash Ungarova," official representative of the Prosecutor General Nurdaulet Suindikov said at a press briefing in Astana.

Earlier, Ungarova told media that her daughter-in-law Sholpan Otekeeva witnessed 23 dead during the riots in the city of Zhanaozen.

Suindikov said that Otekeeva denied Ungarova's words and said that she saw only three dead in the town square of Zhanaozen. "I am not Ungarova's daughter-in-law," Otekeeva said.

The riots began in Zhanaozen on December 16. About 16 people died, 100 were injured. The buildings, cars were burned. The property of physical and legal entities was destroyed. President Nazarbayev announced the state of emergency from December 17-January 5.
