An earthquake of 4.2 points magnitude took place in East Kazakhstan bordering the Karaganda region, the collection and processing centre of the special seismic data of the Institute of Geophysical Research, National Nuclear Centre of Kazakhstan said on Monday.
According to the data, the earthquake in eastern Kazakhstan took place in January 1, 2012 on 14:07 Astana time (8:07 GMT).
