The Kazakh president Nursultan Nazarbayev has dismissed the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Coordinator for the interaction with the European Union, presidential press-service reported on Wednesday.

"Konstantin Zhigalov has been dismissed from the post of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Coordinator for the interaction with the European Union by the presidential decree in connection with his transfer to another position," the press-service said.

According to the President Nazarbayev's decree Zhigalov was appointed to the post of Kazakh Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Canada.
