Kazakh, Kyrgyz PMs discuss realization of reached agreements

Kyrgyz Prime Minister Omurbek Babanov and his Kazakh counterpart Karim Massimov discussed the implementation of agreements reached within Babanov's working visit to Kazakhstan on Feb. 21-22, 2012 in a telephone conversation, the Kyrgyz Government reported.

In particular, the parties discussed the implementation of joint Kyrgyz-Kazakh investment fund and the reopening of Kichi-Kapka and Karkyra border checkpoint until the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Council, with can take place in April.

Babanov and Massimov also stressed the necessity of close cooperation between the Agriculture Ministries of the countries after the removal of all restrictions on the Kyrgyz dairy products supply to Kazakhstan.

The parties discussed practical steps to consolidate the legal agreements on Kyrgyz citizens' right to stay in Kazakhstan without re-registering within 90 days. Moreover, Prime Ministers discussed the project on secondary school building in southern Kyrgyzstan, initiated by Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
