An anniversary meeting of the Council of the Interparliamentary Assembly (IPA) of Member Nations of the CIS on the 20th anniversary of the CIS's IPA has kicked off in Kazakh city of Almaty today, Kazinform reported.
Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Ukraine are attending the jubilee session.
The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) is a regional organization, participating countries of which are former Soviet republics.
