Astana to host Kazakh-Iranian intergovernmental commission’s next meeting

Kazakhstan and Iran have agreed to hold the next meeting of the Kazakh-Iranian intergovernmental commission in Astana, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Arakchi said at a press conference in Astana on Tuesday.

Kazakhstan and Iran have agreed to hold the next meeting of the Kazakh-Iranian intergovernmental commission in Astana, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Arakchi said at a press conference in Astana on Tuesday.

"Since the intergovernmental commission's previous meeting was held in Tehran, the next meeting will be in Astana, and it will be held in the next two months. We expect information regarding the exact date from our Kazakh counterparts," Arakchi said.

He said the next meeting of the intergovernmental commission will discuss issues of cooperation, in particular supply of Kazakh grain to Iran and its transit through the territory of Iran.
