Olympic champion Olga Rypakova won the sixth gold medal of Kazakhstan in athletics at London Olympics, Kazakh presidential press service reported on Monday.
Earlier Kazakh weightlifter Ilya Ilin also won a gold medal at London Olympics, establishing a new world record in 233 kg in jerk.
Ilin, acting in the weight category of about 94 kg, could lift 185 kilograms in the snatch, 233 kg - in clean and jerk. His score was 418 kg in snatch, clean and jerk combination.
Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev sent telegrams to both sportsmen and congratulated them on their victory at London Olympics.
