Kazakhstan and Austria signed the protocol of the fourth meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation in the Kazakh Foreign Ministry on Wednesday, Kazinform reported.

The document includes a basic agreement reached within the intergovernmental commission in Astana in trade, tourism, agriculture, finance and banking, energy, environmental protection, high technologies in the field of ecology.

Moreover, the parties agreed to organize the presentation of Kazakhstan's bid to host the international exhibition "EXPO-2017".

"The results of this meeting of the intergovernmental commission are intermediate results of the Kazakh-Austrian cooperation in 2011, and the next stage of preparation for the president's visit in October," Kazakh Foreign Ministry's European Affairs Department director Yerkin Ahinzhanov said.
