Kazakhstan and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will discuss the establishment of international bank for low-enriched uranium on the territory of the country, National Atomic Company "Kazatoprom" said on Tuesday.

Kazakhstan and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will discuss the establishment of international bank for low-enriched uranium on the territory of the country, National Atomic Company "Kazatoprom" said on Tuesday.

According to the report, Kazatoprom board chairman Vladimir Shkolnik will take part in the IAEA general conference in Austria within the Kazakh official delegation.

Representatives of 155 countries will take part in the 56th session of IAEA General Conference. The main issues are the measures of strengthening the international cooperation in the field of nuclear security, physical protection of nuclear materials.

Shkolnik met with Rosatom state corporation director general Sergei Kirienko within the session of IAEA General Conference. The prospects of further cooperation and joint projects were discussed.

A meeting of the Kazakh delegation with IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano is also planned to be held during the conference.
