The government commission is set up to investigate the causes of the plane crash near Almaty in Kazakhstan, the press office of the Prime Minister said.
"Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov signed a resolution of the Government of Republic of Kazakhstan "On the Formation of the Government Commission to investigate the causes of a group accident, which occurred as a result of the crash of CRJ 200 LR plane in the airport of Almaty," the statement said.
The commission is headed by the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development of Kazakhstan, Bakytzhan Sagintayev. It also includes Minister of Emergency Situations Vladimir Bozhko, Minister of Transport and Communications Askar Zhumagaliyev, General Prosecutor's officials, representatives of the Main transport prosecutor's office and other government agencies.
The Commission has currently started its work to identify the causes of the crash.
On January 29, 2013, at about 13:00, Chellenger-200 aircraft of SCAT Airline, operating flight No.760 on Kokshetau-Almaty route crashed five kilometres short of the runway at Almaty.
According to the airline, 15 passengers and 5 crew members were killed in a plane crash. No one survived.
