Kazakh president visits Mangistau province of Kazakhstan

President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev paid a working visit to Mangistau province of Kazakhstan, the President's Press Service reported.
"During the visit it is planned to take part together with the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov at the opening of the railroad crossing Bolashak (Republic of Kazakhstan) - Serhetyaka (Turkmenistan)," the report says.
Berdymukhamedov is in Kazakhstan with a two-day state visit. One of the important events of the visit will be the opening of the Turkmen-Kazakh section of 'North - South' transnational railroad (Kazakhstan - Turkmenistan - Iran), which will be attended by the presidents of the two countries.
The Turkmen-Iranian section of the road is being constructed now. The main line stretching about 1,000 kilometers will open a shortcut to the Persian Gulf not only for the region countries but also for other states.
