First meeting of Anti-Terrorist Center held in Kazakh National Security Committee

Chairman of the Kazakh National Security Committee Nurtai Abykayev held the first meeting of the Anti-Terrorist Center, the committee's official website said on Wednesday.
"The first enlarged meeting of the Anti-Terrorism Center was chaired by the head of the National Security Committee," the statement said. "The participants of the meeting worked out the measures to further strengthen the inter-committee cooperation and the general system of counteracting terrorism and religious extremism."
The first heads of 23 ministries and departments, as well as the mayors of regional centers, Astana and Almaty attended the meeting of the Anti-Terrorist Center.
According to the Kazakh President's decrees dated June 24, 2013, the relevant provisions about the anti-terrorist center and anti-terrorist commissions in the regions of the country were approved.
