Kairat Kelimbetov was appointed chairman of the Kazakhstan National Bank, the presidential press-service said on Tuesday.
Kazakh president Nursultan Nazarbayev signed a decree putting him in power on Tuesday.
According to another decree, the former chairman of the National Bank Grigory Marchenko was dismissed from this post.
