Housing prices rose in Kazakhstan in March, Kazakh Statistics Agency reported on April 7.
"Resale prices for deplorable houses rose by 2.2 percent, comfortable houses - 1.6 percent in March 2014 compared to the previous month. New houses increased in price by 2.1 percent. Rent prices for comfortable houses grew by 1.1 percent," the agency said.
In one year period (March 2014 compared to March 2013) resale prices for deplorable houses rose by 20.8 percent, comfortable houses -by 24.5 percent. New houses increased in price by 20.4 percent in this period. Rent prices for comfortable houses grew by 17.3 percent.
Meanwhile the number of property sales transactions decreased in the reporting period.
"The number of registered property sales transactions decreased by 16 percent to 9,933 in March compared to the previous month," the agency said.
Number of property sales transactions decreased by 8.7 percent in January-March 2014 compared to the same period of 2013.
