An earthquake measuring 4 on the Richter scale was recorded in south-eastern Kazakhstan on June 18, Kazakhstan's Seismological Expedition of the Science Committee under Education and Science Ministry reported.
The earthquake occurred at 8:35 p.m. local time (2:35 p.m. Greenwich time), 180 kilometers to the north-east from the city of Almaty.
There is no information about victims or damage.
