Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev in his residence in the Burabai resort town (about 200 km away from Astana) met with members of Congress Dana Rohrabacher and Gregory Meeks, the press service of Acorda reported Sept.5.

"During the meeting, the strategic nature of the Kazakh-American relations, as well as the dynamic development of trade and economic cooperation was noted. Moreover, the sides discussed topical issues of the international agenda," - said the statement of Acorda.

The statement also indicates that the United States Congressmen emphasized the socio-economic achievements of Kazakhstan and expressed hope for further strengthening of mutually beneficial partnership between the two countries.
